Google Info Session-September 2014
In the spirit of sharing connections and giving advice, WUGS coordinated an info session with a University Programs Specialist from Google, who discussed full-time and internship opportunities for students from all schools and years.
Mentorship Program Kickoff-October 2014
WUGS' informal mentorship program kicked-off for the year, giving mentors and mentees the opportunity to share advice and experiences over snacks and giving-related activities
Give and Take 101 with Adam Grant-October 2014
Professor Adam Grant himself shared his research about giving as a leadership style, the foundation of WUGS's mission statement
Wharton Council Event Competition-November 2014
A team consisting of WUGS executive board and committee members placed third in Wharton Council's annual event competition, winning money to fund Giving Week in Spring 2015
WUCC and WUGS Thanksgiving-November 2014
WUGS partnered with the Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club to celebrate an early Thanksgiving, including giving-themed activities such as an anonymous compliment board.
Givers at Penn Recognition Week-December 2014
This social media campaign highlighted student leaders at Penn who acknowledged the gifts of others. It aimed to shine a spotlight on givers in the Penn community and encourage students to engage in giving behaviors.
